What should I do? My motorized table just stopped working.
Please check the following in sequence:
• Is your table plugged into the wall? If not, plug it in.
Is the circuit-breaker in your wall panel still on? If not, make sure you're not overloading the circuit with too much other electrical equipment, reset the breaker, and try your table.
Are all the motor, power, and control device cords properly plugged into the control box (the unit that the hand or foot switch plugs into)? Occasionally, these become accidentally disconnected when tables are being moved or cleaned.
Do you hear a whirring noise when you activate the foot or hand control? This would indicate your motor is trying to lift the table but is physically damaged in some way. This type of damage is usually the result of trying to lift more weight than the table is designed to handle. You will need to submit a Service Request.
• Do you hear no noise at all? This can be a dead motor or a defective control box (the unit that the hand or foot switch plugs into). It can also mean a defective hand or foot control. Because these items are susceptible to being dropped or kicked, it is not unusual for them to fail. Please check your hand or foot control for the manufacturer's name (Linak, Magnetic, or Linemaster); please supply this information when filling out your Service Request.
• Do you hear a clicking sound coming from the control box? This is almost always caused by the foot or hand control not being plugged in fully. The therapist may have inadvertently tugged too hard on the control and pulled it partially free. Firmly reseat the hand or foot control plug and try again. On many tables, a surprising amount of force may be required to reseat the plug fully. Press very firmly. If this doesn't correct the problem, please submit a Service Request..
Why won't the head or leg section of my MultiPro table stay where I position it?
MultiPro tables have hydraulic cylinders under the head and foot sections which control the lifting function. A small trigger on the end of each cylinder must be depressed to allow the table section to be moved, and the same trigger must be released to hold the upholstered section in the position you desire. If the head or leg section won't lie flat, or if it won't stay in position, there is a small chance the cylinder has worn out or the trigger is not operating properly. The hydraulic cylinders are under pressure, and may cause the table top to rise or fail to support weight if the locking trigger is not functioning. If so, you can order a replacement from us by submitting a Service Request below. More often, however, your cylinder release mechanism only needs to be recalibrated. Check Knowledgebase for Cylinder Recalibration Instructions or submit a Service Request, asking for these instructions.
What is the proper way to operate my Hot Towel Cabi?
There are several steps you can take to ensure many years of trouble-free operation of your TouchAmerica Hot Towel Cabi. The first is to remove any wet towels from it at the end of each treatment day. We also recommend leaving the door ajar slightly overnight to prevent odors. Lastly, be aware of the substances to which you expose the unit. Certain essential oils -- particularly those of the mint family -- are somewhat volatile and can cause a chemical reaction with the rubber gaskets on the door of the Hot Towel Cabi, causing them to melt. This can easily be avoided by wiping down the interior of the unit at the end of each treatment day. For full operation manual, please access Knowledgebase at bottom of this page or email us for a new manual.
How do I make my face cradle hold more securely?
After a period of continual use, the FaceSpace will require tightening. The need for this will be hastened if undue downward pressure is routinely applied to the mechanism, such as clients accidentally sitting on the FaceSpace, or using it to push up from the table after a session. Check Knowledgebase (see below) for adjustment instructions or email us for these instructions .
How do I insert my Flex Armrests into the sides of my table? You may notice that the rods on your Flex Armrests are farther apart than the holes on the side of your table. This is by design. The armrest is hinged in the middle, underneath the upholstery. To get the rods to line up with the holes on your table, you need only bend each armrest so that the middle "flexes" up and draws the two rods closer together. After inserting the rods in the holes and releasing the armrest, the outward pressure will hold it firmly in position.
